Walter Mazzarri Takes Charge At Torino

Italian Serie A side, Torino have appointed former Watford Manager, Walter Mazzarri as their new head coach following the sacking of former head coach, Sinisa Mihajlovich earlier on Thursday. Mihajlovich was fired after 18 months in charge of Torino and currently sit 10th in the Serie A having won just five of their 19 league games this season.

The nail in the coffin for Mihajlovich was Torino’s 2-0 Italian Cup quarter final loss to Juventus, a match in which he was sent to the stands by the match officials. Mazzarri, who spent just one season in charge of Watford before being fired in the summer has enjoyed spells with Napoli as well as Inter Milan.
