Jamie Carragher spits on fan and 14-year old daughter
Liverpool Legend, Jamie Carragher has been removed from Sky sport Monday Night Football and coverage of Tuesday Champions League Clash between Man Utd and Sevilla following the his spitting shame episode.
The former Liverpool player and captain was filmed spitting at a football fan and his 14-year-old daughter after having taunts fired in his direction as he drove away from Old Trafford on Monday.
Talks over the incident were held at the Sky sport HQ and reports suggest that the 40-year-old pundit has not been sacked but will, however, sit out the clash of Stoke vs Mancity on Monday.
Jamie Carragher will spend two weeks off screen as part of a break that was already booked prior to the incident coming to light.
The incident, which occurred while he was driving, ended when the 40-year-old wound down his window and spat in the direction of the fans.
The 40-year-old said he will “apologize again properly” over the incident – and claims that he did not see the girl.
He said today as he arrived in London: “I’ll speak to the family again. I’m sorry. I’ll apologise again today properly.”
